AWANA Bible clubs are offered for boys and girls, age first grade through sixth grades, on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. during the school year at Coastal. The starting date for the Fall of 2006 is September 21.
AWANA is an international, Bible-centered ministry that provides weekly clubs and programs for young people. Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). Memorizing scripture, developing godly character, and leading children to the Lord are AWANA club goals.
Game times utilize the kids’ natural competitive energies. AWANA Grande Prix racecar night is a highlight each year. Cost is $40, plus one dollar weekly dues to cover uniform, handbooks, and awards. New participants may register during regular club meetings. Visit the national Awana website for more information about this ministry.
